Gertrude Lion

This is Gertrude the Lion. She looks kinda funny because she has REALLY big eyes. I didn't have any other size of eyes. haha

Oh well.

Diaper Creations...

No Cricut on the first creation. This is a pound puppy. Made with diapers, baby socks, baby wash cloths and baby mitts. I don't know if I'm happy with him yet or not. I keep looking at him thinking about what else I could have done. *sigh* I'll figure it out. I'm trying to come up with things to make to sell at a craft show with a friend of mine.

This is my first diaper cake. :) I made it for my friend Shannon and her new baby girl, Grace. It didn't take very long at all - which impressed me. I really enjoyed making it and I'm looking forward to making more. I have a number of ideas for designs. :)

Birthday

My Mother-in-law is making the LONG drive to Edmonton with us. She's a saint - for many reasons but even more so because she will probably keep me from killing my husband. :)

Anyway, we will be on the road for her birthday (which she hates celebrating and I LOOOOOVE) so I made her a card. We are giving her Lowe's Gift Cards because it's her favorite store. She's probably there a couple times a week. :)

When thinking of a card my husband pipes up and tells me she likes frogs. So this is what I came up with...

Christmas Card #2

I so love Christmas. I so love these joy fold cards... no wonder everyone is jumping on the bandwagon!! :)

Christmas Card #2. I really like how this one turned out. :) Now I feel like I need to make a more kiddy one. These seem very grown up.

Christmas Cards

Alright, I made a Christmas card. Yes - it's June 4th.

:)

I can't help it. I LOOOOOOOOOVE Christmas.

Anyway, today I attended Diane & Jen's beginner Design Studio class. It only cost $10 and it was worth it. It's a really neat idea and I hope I'll be able to attend more classes. I def. learned some things.

They mentioned they are going to do a card class. It's next Thursday - but by then I may be way too busy to attend. Hmmm... Maybe I should do more packing now. haha

Crafting Anonoymous anyone?

I can't stop. It's a sickness. An addiction...

Oka not that bad. :) And even if it was - I could be addicted to MUCH worse!! :) Halloween card and then my new fav. type of card - the Joy Fold. It's a fun thing. Cute idea and so many ways to do it!!

Today was a really good day too. :) I made a deal with Ryan, if I let him sleep in an extra hour today I got to go paper shopping at Jo-Ann Fabrics!!! :) So much Christmas paper. You know that the holiday is closer then anyone wants to think it is. :)

One of these things is not like the other...

Yeah... I know. No more crafts until wedding invites were done. Well... I had an itch to make a Christmas one. I don't like it very much. It was a blurry idea in my head and this is how it came out in the end. Meh. Maybe it'll grow on me!!

tick tock... it's coming.

My sister-in-law is getting married in October! YAY!!

I volunteered to make her invites, save-the-dates and bridal shower cards. The last two are finished... the invites are taking me FOREVER!!!!! I did one and it really didn't seem to take so long... 50 of them is taking forever... and really I have to do probably closer to 60 because she would like extra. I love crafting, and I am so happy to be helping out but WOW... I totally didn't expect them to take this long!! :)

Anyway, I think I'm going to try and design a simple card for her to use to send her thank you's as well. As a partial wedding gift sorta. :)

Here are the invites, save-the-dates and bridal shower cards!!

Inside of the invites:

Announcements:
Save-the-Dates:

I actually already posted the bridal shower invites. They are in my first post, the ones that say "Luau" and have a turtle on them. The only thing I did differently was add the words, "It's a Briday Shower".

Anyway, other crafting will be on hold as I try to finish all these invites up!!

Packing? Forget it... crafting is the way to go!!

I really should be packing... but instead I craft.

Here is a quick, simple summer invite. The American theme is just so much easier to work with. Canada is only two colours!! I have to try something with it, but if I add stars, it's not really Canadian... if I add blue, it's def. not Canadian. Hmmmm... I'll have to try something.

Enjoy!!

Baby Mini Book

I was inspired by a post on the Cricut message board (my FAVOURITE!!). The author has her own blog that you can visit! http://ruelysicreativecards.blogspot.com/

This is my version of it. A baby book for my friend. She may see this before hand but it's oka. I have other things for her!! :)

A friend pointed out that my theme wasn't consistant. She said the monkey and elephant didn't really fit and she couldn't tell if it was for a baby girl or boy. Hmmmm... all things to take into consideration for the next one.

Hope you enjoy!

Babies on the brain!!

I'm busy making baby announcements. *sigh* haha I really need to focus on Shannon's gift but I just can't make it perfect enough!!! GRRRRRRRRRRR... so while I put it to the side I put these little things together.

Maybe I'll make some more wedding ones next...

... who needs sleep?

Here are two baby announcements. Wording would go on back side of invite. Simple and cute.

My friend Shannon is having a baby... SOON!! :) I'm more then excited. It's going to be a wonderful thing. Plus I can watch how she handles things and learn. Eventually I'll have a baby and she'll be there to tell me what's normal and what isn't!! :)

This upcoming birth has babies on my mind oh..... 23 hours a day probably! I finally broke down and tried out my New Arrival cartridge. I think it will be handy!!

Now if only I could actually make something for Shannon...

A Thank-you to our vet.

My hubby and I are making our way back to Edmonton pretty quick - because of that all of our fur babies need to get their final health checks with our vet. I adore our vet. Her name is Dr. Brewer and she is just wonderful. All the animals love her and she and her staff treat them so great. I'm going to miss her a lot and I'm a bit worried about being able to find an equally as great vet in Edmonton but oh well.

Anyway, this is the card I made for Dr. Brewer and her staff. Enjoy!! :)

A couple different cards...

Ahh Cards. My Cricut has inspired me to make cards. Not that I've actually given any away yet!!! haha That is next on the list!!!

#1) A card I helped my sister make for a friend. I like that the circles don't line up.

#2) I guess I fibbed. I did actually give this card away to a couple who lives next door and married recently. I don't know them overly well just that their landlord is my MIL. haha

#3) This is my first card that I made!!! It was supposed to be a birthday card for my dear friend Claire! I finished it on time but I didn't get it in the mail. *sigh* It's a really pretty card though!!

Bridal Shower Invites

My lovely sister-in-law is getting married in October. I've been working on her invites - which are beach themed - and was recently asked to come up with some bridal shower invites. My Life's a Beach cartridge is a life-saver and such a blast to work with!!!!! Below are the 5 I came up with. She picked 1 of the 5 and I'm off to JoAnn's to get supplies!!!

PLUS (and this is the REALLY exciting news) as a thank you for what I've done my sister-in-law and her fiance bought me a CRICUT EXPRESSION!!!! I'm giving her my baby bug to use for scrapbooking. She said she was going to by herself one but only wanted the little one. So they bought me the expression to say thank you and now I'm going to pass on the fun with the Cricut to her!!! I think it's too much but she says it's not. *sigh* I have a wonderful family!!!

Anyway, here are the 5!! I love them!
